Tolar Purvis

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Tolar Purvis attended Jackson Prep before receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Mississippi State University in 2019. At Mississippi State, Tolar was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following graduation, Tolar was accepted to and attended the University of Mississippi School of Law where he was one of ten members of his class to be accepted into the Business Law Fellowship Program. Tolar received his Juris Doctorate Degree graduating cum laude in May 2022. He subsequently received his license to practice law in the state of Mississippi in September 2022.

Tolar began his career in real estate while in high school, learning from his father, Paige, during summer and winter breaks and continued this throughout college. Tolar did take one summer off from working in the legal field and was a beach attendant in Sandestin, Florida. He still says that job was the most difficult, but rewarding job.

During Law School, Tolar worked as a clerk for a closing attorney in Oxford, Mississippi. His thorough knowledge of the entire process makes him well versed in all aspects of title insurance and closing, and his background in customer service makes him an ideal closing attorney.

In his free time, Tolar enjoys playing golf, cooking, and traveling. He is also an avid Mississippi State fan and loves going to The Junction on Saturdays.

Tolar is engaged to Ivy Painter of Jackson and they have two dogs together, Wrigley and Mae.
