Paige attended Jackson Prep and subsequently graduated college from Ole Miss in 1992, where he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He obtained a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, worked for 2 years as an Accountant, and then decided to pursue his law degree at Mississippi College School of Law. In 1997, he received his license to practice law in Mississippi but decided to continue his education with a Masters Degree in Tax Law. He was accepted into the University of Florida’s prestigious Masters program, which is continually ranked as one of the top programs in the country, and graduated the following year with an LL.M. in Taxation.

Tolar Purvis

Tolar Purvis

Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, Tolar Purvis attended Jackson Prep before receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Mississippi State University in 2019. At Mississippi State, Tolar was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and graduated Magna Cum Laude. Following graduation, Tolar was accepted to and attended the University of Mississippi School of Law where he was one of ten members of his class to be accepted into the Business Law Fellowship Program. Tolar received his Juris Doctorate Degree graduating cum laude in May 2022. He subsequently received his license to practice law in the state of Mississippi in September 2022.

Ivy Purvis

Ivy Purvis

Ivy Painter Purvis graduated from St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in 2014. She then attended Birmingham-Southern College, where she completed the Harrison Honors Program and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in psychology in 2018. During her time at Birmingham-Southern, Ivy was an active member of the Kappa Delta sorority and played on the women’s soccer team for four years. She also spent a semester at the Autonomous University in Barcelona, Spain, studying Spanish and international business. In 2022, Ivy graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law. She started her legal career as an associate attorney specializing in civil defense litigation. After gaining over two and a half years of experience in this field, she made a significant career move by joining Purvis Law Firm in March 2025. Ivy is proficient in Spanish.
Shana Christopher

Post-Closing Coordinator

Shana Christopher is a Post-Closing Coordinator with Purvis Law Firm. A Jackson native, Shana graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. 

She enjoyed a long, adventurous career with Delta Airlines based out of New York. This career allowed her to meet people from many different backgrounds and locations around the United States and abroad. Shana uses this “Delta customer first approach” with all her clients to ensure they have the best experience.

 

Shana and her husband, David, now reside in Brandon, Mississippi with their two children, Cooper and Eliza. Shana still enjoys traveling with family and friends and watching her children’s sporting events. She and her family are members of Pinelake Church in Brandon.

Paralegal

Courtney Evans is a Paralegal with Purvis Law Firm. Courtney grew up in Jackson, where she attended Hillcrest Christian School and Crystal Springs Christian Academy.

Courtney came to Purvis Law Firm from the banking sector, having served at First American for 11 years as an Escrow Officer, and at Regions Mortgage for a year as a Closer.

In her spare time, Courtney loves to shop, craft and spend time with her family.  She currently lives in Brandon with her husband, Chad, and son, Waylon.
